this is what the inside of an MBRP muffler looks like. but again all good no bad they are great systems and easy to install!

but that muffler will change the sound of the truck....I started with a muffler then went to a straight pipe....and pretty sure im gonna go back to the muffler....the straight pipe to me is just a little to loud, or something....i like the sound a muffler better....

oh wow your right theres pretty much nothin to it. now what are the advantages and disadvantages of a 5 inch ? heard you actually loose power and lose turbo sound with a 5

thats a bunch of bs if you ask me. my brother has a 4" i have a 5" the only difference is mine sounds alittle deeper thats it. i still have a huge whistle and still have power. what i have read and do agree with is the size of the downpipe. keep is 3.5" and the MBRP has the 3.5" downpipe with the kit so dont worry about that. you will still have the same power and sound either way. and btw you put that muffler on with the humps facing to the rear not the front. so its basically straight piped but there is a muffler look to it so that the law will leave you alone

whats the point of putting a straight pipe on instead of a muffler ?

some think its louder. in some cases it is just depends on the maker of the muffler. i know silverline actually has a muffler that makes it a tad quieter. and its all up to the individual person.

less restriction....and see i think theres a different sound with 5inch and 4inch...i think u get a deeper sound with the 5inch, but more turbo sound with the 4inch.....my truck with a 4inch has more turbo sound then my buddies with a 5inch....but i would still get the 5inch...looks a ton better...
