once again another tuning question
What do you guys think? Iam running the looney tune and like it but i would like to try one other tune. Do you think i should go with Innovative or the SRL?
Iam getting ready to get an Airdog, 175cc injectors, and headstuds. What do you think my best route would be? |

First thing I would do is after you do those mods, see if viv would redo your Looney and see how it runs. Then if you still wanted another tune email both of them and see which one of the tunes fits your driving habits.

iam also looking at TSD i dont know if anyone has really ran them though

Did you see the thread I posted on this forum. I just got some TSD tunes and they are pretty stout tunes. Can't go wrong with any of those guys tunes. I would suggest reading up on and searching for tunes and seeing which ones fit your driving style. I like really firm shifts and that is what TSD has along with Innovative. Srl is firm but TSd's are firmer. ID's are firmer than both of those. Trans tuning is going to be the biggest difference in all of the custom tunes you get not power.

I like firm shifts nothing wrong with that. I also like power. I love my looney but it does not seem to fuel hard up top, but I just made a post about fuel pressure problem. Another thing I like relatively clean tuneing, don't care for a lot of smoke. Being that I will get injectors Iam sure I will have enough!

yea both Matt and TSD's run pretty clean. My Innovative tune smokes more heavily but it is not always a bad thing having a little smoke.

True and we do not have emissions where Iam. Do you feel that your idp tune fuels harder?

I truthfully could not tell you. I only have an aggressive street tune not a race tune or ex street. I dont know if it fueled harder but it did smoke more that is for sure

You may want to look into a powermax turbo for 175's. I have that setup(pmax, 175's) and it can smoke enough to send the teenagers with dodges running for cover if I bog it down. Not to mention, the egt's will get out of hand in a hurry.
Any of those folks can set you up, be prepared for a lot of back and forth over the phone or email to get the tune dialed in correctly. Your best bet would be live tuning but that is very expensive, but yields the best results. I don't know if you have picked injectors yet, but check out warren diesel if you haven't already. I have his 175/100's and love them to death. The best plan would be to do everything at once if you can wait to get all the parts together. Having the cab off is the difference between mechanic's heaven and hell, trust me. |

Well i talked to Truck Source diesel and i may go with them. They go through Idustrial Injection. He told me to run there tuneing and there 190cc with 75% nozzles.
