SCT LIVEWIRE COMPLAINTS

So the only complaint about the livewire is that you have to turn it off/on everytime you get out of your truck, and the size of the screen?? Is that all or is there more serious issues... I would do insight but thats almost 900 for a tuner when you can buy the livewore for little under 550

Nope I have one and that is all I can complain about, other thanI think mine is a Bad out of box unit. Will not show tranny Strategy and I think it is corrupting the tune files.

The only other problem is it doesn't show EOT. It would be nice if it held more than 3 tunes, but thats minor.

Trust me you will be MUCH happier with the combo of CTS and SCT tuner. I have used them both and the Insight CTS is far superior. Then you can just use an X3 or SF3 for programming.

I agree, I like the Livewire but wish I had gone this route instead.

The live wire does do EOT, I do not know where diesel addict got that, and all SCT only carry 3 custom tunes..... No matter what you are going to have to have something on your dash or window. SCT migh be bigger but for the price diffrence I can deal with it.

Yep if you want EOT on the Livewire you have to load the file off of SCT website

Where do you find EOT in the Livewire sensor list? I have looked and can't find it. Maybe mine is older or something, or is there somthing else I need to do to read it? I know they all onlyhold 3 tunes but it would be nice if they held more, thats all.

Go the SCT's website and under the tech help it will give you the file to download onto your Livewire for EOT.

Special note to customers that have a Ford 6.0 Diesel:
There is a new version of the Diesel datalog configuration file that allows logging of engine oil temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. Click Here to Download
