get gauges either way, you need to see the health of your motor with or with out a tuner. i have a edge ect which is not on the pillar mine is mounted on the window like a gps and you can monitor more then 3 or 4 things you could with the gauges, but some like the style of gauges its just preference but you do need them, as far as tuner goes get a sct tuner with custom tunes. thats the only way to go with the 6.0 and a lot of others will same the same also.
