2003 turbo

i got an 06 straightpiped, and am thinking of the 03 turbo cuz of the whistle. is there any loss/gain in performance? and will it screw anything up with my chip or boost builder?

As far as I know it wouldn't change anything but the sound.

No real performance gain other than the whistle. Won't cause you any issues compared to your 06 turbo.

is there an aftermarket turbo thats louder/loud as than the 03 turbo? i cant justify paying roughly 6-800 dollars for a bit more sound/used turbo, id pay 3 grand for 175+ hp and the whistle tho lol

Ya, Garrett Powermax. Its basically a modified 03 turbo. It has the whistle and supports up to 175 extra hp. I cant wait til mine gets here in a week or so

So a Power max will sound just as good as an 03 turbo, and increase power with supporting mods?

Keep in mind with stock injectors no turbo modification is going to get you a bunch of extra HP. The stock turbo is pretty efficient in making power with stock sticks. If you want more HP you're going to need more fuel.
