gearhead automotive, innovative diesel, quick tricks, truck source diesel, elite diesel. If you are rich, live tuning.

All have about the same performance(+/-20hp) and the right foot will control the mpg. Overall, expect 16-18mpg all around.

Plus, search around for people's opinions, there is enough to help with your decision.

All the places kdogg said, I run Matts SRL and love it. I wouldn't say expect 16-18, yes some get that, but I get 13-14 mixed driving and 17-18 on the highway. Your strategy make a big difference in how good your mileage is some suck and some are better

True. I only get 12-14 with my SRL. Wish I got better. Have to see if the Ficm tune helps out at all

I got around 18 overall with srl. When the pmax went in, I had xstreet, I got 18 overall. I do have the vxcf4 strategy, so that probably has something to do with it. Also, the right foot and how much weight you carry will have an effect, plus the general things( tire pressure, fuel,etc...)

Ya there are lots of variables. I have the vxcf4 also, never hardly have any extra weight and Im leveled with 34" tires and even when I baby it doesnt get above 13ish. Luck of the draw I guess...

For the best mpg is to have a tune that has a more advanced injection timing. This generally comes from race tunes like (IDP)innovative diesel performance "xtreem street".

This issue with the advanced timing is that you can not tow with that kind of tune.

XStreet also has aggressive throttle so you can ask to have the aggressiveness turned down to give better mpg. You will still have the same power, just not the aggressive fueling.

Having XStreet with the aggressive throttle turned down would be a great power and MPG tune.

I use IDP STREET tune for towing my 10,000lb 5th wheel. It is GREAT for daily driver and towing. Very happy.
You will not go wrong with tunes from IDP.

If you go with IDP I would get the TOW, STREET, and XSTREET(with the throttle turned down)

^^^^ this is my opinion
