Sct livewire vs. Edge cts

So I was just curious... I'm looking for a tuner for my truck... And I know that sct is basically the best out there right now... But I want to. Be able to monitor everything... Is the livewire similar to the cts, is the livewire able to monitor everything? I've tried reading about it but haven't really came up with much of anything conclusive about the livewire, and searching is a PITA on my iPhone..

I know the CTS is better but I forget why. I think the livewire can't monitor as much at one time, or they had problems with them or something.

I don't own either, but your question has been brought up many times.

Final answer: Livewire is outdated, and too bulky. The Edge Insight CS/CTS monitors more on screen and can read more PID's.

You can monitor FCIM with the edge with the livewire you can't. The edge overall is more updated and can monitor a larger number of electrical information. Sct+edge is the best combination in my opinion.

Okay, Thanks for the input Guys..

So basically I should get the SCT X3 instead of the Livewire... and then also get the EDGE CTS???

I thought the CTS was a programmer also though?? Are you able to install the CTS without using its tunes, so that I can still get custom tunes for innovative..

Thanks again guys.. This side is definitely the best out there..especially for Diesel noobies..

Nope the Edge CTS doesn't program but I do believe they package it with the edge attitude tuner. Anyways You can use both your, edge cts for monitoring and have custom tunes on your sct on your truck at the same time.

Edge has two different versions of CS/CTS.

The Edge INSIGHT CS/CTS is a monitor only.
The Edge EVOLUTION/ATTITUDE CS/CTS is a tuner and monitor.

There's more!!! Power Hungery Performance (PHP) has the Gryphon, this is a tuner that is capable of custom tunes and a monitor. IIRC, Bill from PHP use to either work for or designed for Edge, then went his own way to develope the Gryphon or something like that.

Most prefer the X-3/Insight CS/CTS set-up.
