Vivian, I have seen your name on here alot. I just bought an SCT X3 from one of the guys here on the forum. I am new to tuning the 6.0. My truck is basically stock aside from exhaust and 58v FICM w/ performance flash. I have read some reviews on the other two big names out there, Eric and Matt. Now I would like to know about your tunes so that I can make the best decision for my needs.

I look forward to your post!

Thanks!!!

Thank You Lee

Hello badyota82,

I have been tuning the 6.0L, with SCT, since 2004. We have Economy, Tow, Street and our performance file is the Looney Tune. Originally the Looney was a race file but through the years we have added a lot of drivability parameters to make it a comfortable ride. For the daily driver files, we found customers wanted the power, which is 130-160 additional rwhp, but didn't want the truck to shift and respond aggressively, or to have to learn how to drive it.

We still have race files where we eliminate all the drivability, lock the converter in the lower gears and do away with delays in shifting, among other things. These files we do not recommend as a daily driver and are available to non studded and studded trucks cause for the few seconds (hopefully) lol, that it will take you to make a pass, it won't hurt your truck.

For trucks with studs we offer the Looney Wild. It is 20-30 hp more than the Looney but is still a daily driver file with the same transmission setup. Perhaps a little more beefed up cause the engine and tranny need to be comparable for the files to work properly.

We have a description of all our files on our site and I have an email that I send out to customers looking for tunes that specifies the information we need from you, in order to write a file and a little bit about our tunes, but I always welcome speaking with you personally. It takes just a few minutes for me to enter your information and we can usually get tunes out within 30 minutes to an hour.

Hope this helps you out and it wasn't too long-winded
Thanks,
Vivian
