Stock intake with no MAF

Hey guys,

My truck came stock with no MAF sensor in the intake. When I bought my truck it already had an AFE Stage II Magnum Force CAI intake.

I'd like to go back to stock set up. My truck only has the Filter Minder and IAT sensor ports.

Does anyone know if an 06/07 intake iwll work on my truck? Couldn't I install one that has a MAF but just not plug anything into it since I don't have anything to plug in???

Thanks!
Evan

Thanks for the info! Did you just remove the MAF and plug it with a gromment or something? Any pics by chance?

yeah pretty much what I did. It was a rubber grommet that fit in there with a hole in it so I but a bolt and some washers on it and tightened it till it was snug. sorry no pics and I wont be around that truck again till friday.

Why get rid of the AFE? That is a good CAI with a decent filter. I don't see any sense in this.

I know what you mean. I was hoping to pick up a stock one for a cheap price to see how much (if any) would quiet down the motor (inside cab noise) and see if there is a noticable power loss.

Trucks either had a MAF or an IAT sensor. I would recommend it's better to figure out which you should be running and leave that sensor in place.

Yep, that's what I'm trying to do...find a 05 stock intake without MAF, but has the IAT and Filter Minder.
