Wanting to switch from Banks to SCT

So I'm going to be switching from Banks to SCT and I'm going to be taking my Banks six gun and keeping it on power level one (stock) and using it for gauges. I'm not sure which SCT device to buy though. I think I want the SCT X3? I want to run Xtreme race file and the tow tune from Eric at Innovative diesel because from what I've heard he is the best? Let me know what I should do because I'm ready to make the switch.

Yes the X3 is what you need.

Also, if you buy a x3 from quicktricks, vivian gives you free tuning for life...thats who i went with.

Doing that won't work, the banks will only put out the level 1 power numbers. It has to do with how the Banks works. It intercepts what the computer is telling the engine to do and changes it to what the banks wants it to do.

So if you flash the computer with anyone's custom tune, the banks will change it to what ever power level you have set on the banks.

Really? My friend did the exact same thing on his truck and it worked perfectly...

i would recommend taking out the banks kit...

Never mind on, level one the banks doesn't change any signals as it is stock programming. So, if you flash and leave on level one like you stated it should work.

If you come off of level one, it will be banks only.

Has anybody had any tunes from KEM? I'm about to order my SCT and gonna call them asking for a race file, tow file and a smoke tune...

I wouldnt hesitate to go with erics tunes I was going to go with quicktricks but I found an SCT with the extreme tunes on it and Im loving them so far
