New guy with 06 King Ranch

Hi everybody,

I just got an 06 King Ranch F350 a few weeks ago. I've been looking around for mods and found a few. Currently running a SCT street tune I also have a straight pipe that just came in today that I'm gonna install very soon. I am also looking at the sinister EGR delete, and collant filter setup. I have a few questions. Who makes a good custom tune for my truck?? I've seen a few people on this forum and other forums that mention a few names. I'm looking to improve fuel economy plus more power the better. I'm currently getting 13.8 MPG that's what the truck says. This is my first ford vehicle I have ever owned. Are my choices good for EGR delete and coolant filter setup?? thanx guys.

A Buddy of mine used to have a Predator chip. It was not the diablosport programmer that you see on line. I saw a picture of one and it was a small black box with red lettering, and several wires coming off of it. And let me tell you, his truck ran damn good!

Save yourself a real big headache and let the guys at Rudy's walk you through what you need. I was in your shoes a month ago and got lucky enough to get hooked up with these guys. And as far as custom tunes, look no further than KEM performance. All the links are below my signature.

as for the coolant filter you could piece a kit together yourself and save some money from napa or carquest or you could get a pre made kit from diesel site or sinister

The first thing you should do is get a monitoring solution. Then get some tunes from Matt.

Gauges/monitor first!!! You need to check the health of your motor first!! Yhea, it's sure nice to have power first, but what good is it if your fuel psi is dropping so low that it destroys those expensive injectors. How about ECT/EOT delta, sure would suck if your oil cooler is blocked and caused your EGR cooler to rupture and having coolant get into the cylinders and lift the heads.

For tunes, I'm gonna suggest (no particular order), Gearhead, Innovative, or Quicktricks.

1. Get the edge monitor (with pod kit) any recomended vendor? I've already ordered from Xtremedieselperformance, and puredieselpower. I've heard of throughbreddiesel

2. EGR delete which one I've seen the sinister floating around.
3. Change the coolant
4. Custom tunes from somebody (to be determined)

Am I missing anything else yet??
