Good price for parts and labor for EGR, ARP's, Head gaskets the works

I may be looking into needing work done on my truck like EGR delete, oil cooler, head gaskets, ARP studs and all relavent other gaskets and was wondering if the $7200 I was quoted out here in Cali for parts and labor was a bit high or in range? I still have warranty but my warranty is saying the the EGR possible failure that may of caused the lifing of heads is not covered. Any thoughts or ideas would be a great help. I am also in San Diego county if anyone knows of a shop with good history with its work I can trust.

This doesn't help you at all if your in cali but just to give you a price to compare your quote to I paid $3,200 for the same job.

Parts, labor, heads sent out to be checked for flatness-magnafluxed the whole deal. So far called one place and going to call more in am. Still not sure if it all needs to be done but looking at doing it all possibly at once.

Were your heads sent out to be magnafluxed and checked for flatness and did u do even delete head studs new oil cooler and all gaskets? If so what was Herrera?

Well even for Cali paying almost double doesn't seem right unless u got the kick *** deal of the year lol. I was think around 4k but not 7200. Thanks for help.

I was quoted rough;y $2300. Thats if my heads are good. I dont need them yet but will be doing it before they go. Your best bet for getting a deal is make friends with a Ford Diesel mechanic, alot of them do work on the side for alot cheaper. Luckily one of my long good friends is one.

yup thats really high. im with everyone else, i just got a quote for 3,000 and thats with a sct x3 and custom tunes

I paid about $6k, the work done was head gaskets, heads were magnafluxed, BPD EGR cooler, Ford oil Cooler, turbo cleaning, studs, four injectors, EGT probe installation, Coolant filtration system, turbo cleaning, new EGR valve, fumoto valves for oil and fuel. This was probably not the cheapest but they do great work and they really are customer oriented. Give Bud the owner a call and see what he can do for you, by the way when you go to their website take a look at the video they have showing a head gasket replacement, that's my truck being done.
