There are a couple of these kinds of filters out there. What bugs me is that they don't publish exactly down to what micron they will filter to. I don't recall what micron the OEM will filter down to.

($189 =1 filter + tax, shipping, etc)= (OEM @ $20 x 10 filters)
7500 mile oil changes with a new OEM filter x 10 = 75000 miles WOW..............I'll keep my local dealer happy I'll stick with OEM. Besides the first time you buy a new set of injectors you will chuck that blingy oil filter. |

Scotts makes reuseable filters for MX bikes. I know several people who run them and swear by them. The filters for my bike are stupid cheap so I don't mess with it, but I also get my parts at wholesale so the effort involved to clean a filter isn't worth it. However on the truck it may be worth the time depending on what the cost of each unit is.

i chang my oil every 3-5k so if it lasts longer than 50k its paid for itself it also states in the magazine that it has some cooling effects because it is all billet even if it doesnt cool down any it dosent look bad i am going to try one i am not selling my truck anytime soon i have 300k on it and will keep it untill it gets smashed.... or the government makes me get rid of it...... like i said if it last's 30-50k its worth it to me

If you do decide to use that filter, before you install it, compare measurement (LxODxIDxID length). Measure it with and without the factory cap. Be sure it's exact! Even the locking tabs on top.
