Good Repair shop around the San Antonio area ??

I need to find a reputable shop in the S.A. Tx. area to do my head gaskets and studs and at the same time not rape me

anyone have a hookup ?

But one more Question .....What is the best gasket to use on the heads ?? Stock gaskets ?? anyone have part # if there is an aftermarket preferred ??

Ive heard a lot of shops are going back to the factory gaskets, but I think its personal preferance at this point

No , I was led to Floresville Ford..they quoted me $2500 if I bought the studs . They are going to send heads out to be checked also.
But I will give those guys a call and see what they say !

Truck source diesel would be likely be the shop I'd use if I was going to have mine worked on. Stop by and talk to them or pm them. I know they "aggie" is on psn and psa. they are located on i-35 near ft sam houston. Not sure on the exact exit. You can see it from 35 though on the east side of the road.

I'm not a huge fan of truck source diesel...Went in there and stood at the front counter for 5 minutes and no one acknowledged me at all. Not even "we will be with you in a minute". Turned around and walked out.

They are not a retail shop. They are a mechanic shop and although they have a lot of bays and a lot going they don't have a lot of office personnel if any. When I went I had to stick my head out in the shop to get some one. If you want a sales many on top of you you might try a accessory shop or 4 wheel parts. If you want someone that has seen and assembled and diagnosed what you asking about go to a shop and talk to a guy that does that.

The problem was, they had 3 guys just standing there talking.
