SCT Tuner Problem
I bought a used SCT SF3 the other day and loaded one of the canned tunes today just to see. I plan on getting a custom tune soon. The problem is my old style edge insight wasnt reading engine oil temperature or boost when with the stock file it would read those. Why would it do that and will a custom tune do the same?

I have this exact same issue. Just got my SCT, tried the canned performance tune and the Insight wouldn't read all of the parameters. It would also flash a random RPM alert intermittently. I tried my custom Street tune and it does the same thing. I'm wondering if this is something to do with the code in the new tunes or is the old Insight not compatible with these tunes?

Very strange, I would contact SCT Tech Support and make them aware of the issue.
