Hollowed out Cat=Lower EGT's?
I would like to keep the stock look of the exhaust and plan on doing a muffler delete.
I heard people report lower EGT's when the delete pipe is put in. Has anybody done it with punching out the cat and seen lower EGT's also? Hate to buy a "test pipe" for money when my stock pipe with a hollowed out cat will do the same thing. |

Yes, when you delete the cat and or the muffler, the egt's will drop. The muffler will drop more than the cat.

I would've thought the cat would be a bigger restriction
but yes, improving flow in any way will reduce EGTs |
