EGR Delete
What is the best brand of EGR delete? I have always thought Sinister's kit was pretty good but I have heard a few say River City has a good kit.
What is everyones opinion? |

Since it is a fairly simple thing, I really don't know of any BAD kit.
Its just a piece of pipe bent into a U, a bracket to hold that into place in the intake, a new solid up-pipe, and a piece of aluminum to cover the egr valve hole if you remove it (I don't recommend that). RCD is a good kit, as is Sinister as is the cheap-o kit on fleabay. |

I got mine on ebay. Custom Diesel. Just as good as any other. If $ is not a issue, Doug at Go Go Diesel has a $1200 egr delete, but it's more than just a delete. Its on thier website. But ya besides that, theyre all the same, all made in USA.

Well I know the rcd kit has a brass fitting and that is kinda a downfall.

Send me some pictures of that tool box, if you still have it. Thanks!

Are you saying you can delete but still appear as to be "legal", say for emmisons inspections?

No, the cover is to cover the hole where the egr valve sits in the intake.

Ya I got that part, but if you leave the valve in, and use the rest of the kit will it work as if it is deleted, and would it fail a visual inspection?

The rest of the kit will work just as its supposed to. Plus, if you take the egr valve out, it might throw a code. I have an SCT to delete the code, but still left mine in. Doesnt hurt anything.
