Want to start buying parts for my Stud/Headgasket Replacement in the future , buy ea. part till I get everything together as dealer will do work ..
if there is a aftermarket head ?? what do they run and where do I get them ??

My truck has gotten HOT several times and I hear this kills the stock heads , it is not puking coolant but I am sure they will be quite warped when they come off ...max they can be milled to straighten is only like .007 from what I'm told ...that ain't much

Well regardless of what condition you think your heads are in, if they are blown then they are more than likely in repairable/rebuildable condition. So while it may have gotten hot as far as your concerned, it will take a reputable machine shop to go through them see if you can reuse them. I had 80K on mine and they werent blown and I had ran a tune on them for about 30K miles on em and only had to mill off .003". So sure set aside some cash for some new heads but you will probably be fine reconditioning yours. Hope this helps. If you are set on new heads look at Elite Diesel Heads. They are expensive.
