Quadzilla M3 Ford MAX Mileage Module
Hello all, I’m new here & recently bought a 2006 F-350 4x4 DRW Crew Cab Lariat 6.0L V-8 Diesel with a 4.3 ratio limited slip axle to pull a 37’ fifth wheel camper. As you can guess the fuel mileage is less than desirable. I’m currently looking to purchase a Quadzilla M3 Ford MAX Mileage Module but can’t find much info if it has a good track record. Does anyone have any experience with this product or can offer some advice on how to improve the fuel mileage? As far as power goes I am well pleased with how easy the truck pulls the camper. I’ve had no problems pulling in the mountains. Thanks

An SCT with a custom tow tune will be your best bet. I would buy NOTHING but SCT myself.

The absolute very best tuner out there for this particular engine is the SCT X3.
There are many companies that write custom tunes specific for your end use. It is not as expensive as that sounds. The tuner will run you close to $400, and the tunes run anywhere from $50 to $100 each. A good custom tow tune will not only raise the pulling power, but raise fuel economy as well. The standard "plug and play" modules such as the one you are considering, do not effectively address all of the transmission issues. The custom written tunes do. Before tuning a truck, or even towing with one, it is of vital importance that you have REAL gauges on your tow rig. The dash gauges are just a cruel joke and by the time they report an issue to you, serious damage has already happened.
