Advantage to X3 vs SF3?

Is there an advantage to using the X3 over the SF3? Everywhere I look the SF3 is around $50 cheaper. When you buy an X3 from a tuner, does it include any of their tunes or is it extra?

Depends on who you buy from, Innovative sells the X-3 with 3 base custom tunes for $429, the extreme tunes will cost you a little extra. Quicktricks sells the X-3 for $425 with unlimited stock custom tunes, when/if you need tunes for larger injectors/turbo then it cost extra. Gearhead sells the X-3 for $425 then you get a $50 discount for tunes.

If you plan on custom tunes, you'll save money in the long run if you buy a X-3 from a tune writer that is including tunes with the price.

I've never seen anybody selling a SF3 with custom tunes included in the price, so if your gonna get a SF3, you'll be spending money on buying custom tunes.

Once you run custom tunes, you'll never use the canned tunes again.

Ok, thats what I was wondering...whether or not the X3's came with custom tunes or not. Their websites are a tad confusing when I comes to that. That answers my question exactly! Thanks bud

You could also buy a used SCT device at about half the cost of a new one, then buy custom tunes for it. You'll save some cash.
