Another Nitrous Question?

Ok so I've pretty much made up my mind on runnin nitrous but was wondering what kinda kit to get I'm looking at goin with nitrous express but there are like 6 or 7 did kits to choose from and wanted some input on what kit to buy? Thanks guys

You would probably want a diesel specific kit. No matter what, it needs to be a dry kit. ZEX has a pretty nice diesel specific kit.

Do you want to have just a simple on/off (wide open throttle) switch, or do you want a progressive controller?

Right now just an intake full straight pipe exhaust and an sct programmer tuned my innovative but working on getting other stuff


But I think I'm gonna go with a progressive controller

I looked and I like the zex kit better then the nitrous express kit and it's pretty Resonable price wise too

I dont want to pop a hole in your balloon or anything and I'll be the first to admit that i dont know much about running nitrous, nevertheless, I wouldnt do anything of the sort without doing some engine beefing up before I decided to run nitrous. At a minimum I would install head studs, delete the egr cooler, rebuild the oil cooler or delete it, install a coolant filter and switch to an ELC coolant. Also get a monitoring device so you can see what is going on with your motor to where you are at right now. Then you will be able to see how doing different mods affect your motor and if something fails then you will have an idea of where to look for the cause. Also, I have heard that there isnt that much extra fuel with stock injectors for using nitrous and most have better luck with it when used with larger injectors. Just trying to save you some head ache down the road if I can. Hope this helps.

P.S. why nitrous as opposed to other power increasing mods?? Just curious.

Well I forgot about already havin the ege deleted already and it's in the shop now getting studs put on and I'm gettin a coolant filter and gonna run elc when i I get it back. But i wanted run propane but found out it wasn't as safe as runnin nitrous but I'm also working on gettin a fass fuel pump a powermax turbo and a couple other things. I race this truck Saturday nights and need more power. I already run off and leave just about everyone around I race I just wanna make some people cry when they get smoked my a 6000 pound farm truck
