Where and how to buy SCT custom tunes.

Quick question, I am about to buy the SCT x3, but am confused on where to buy it from. Innovative diesel sells it for 379$ while stealth diesel sells it for 429$ and then their sct guage combo for 800$(this combo does not seem like a very good deal). First, why is the tuner more expensive on Stealth? After you buy the SCT X3, how do you go about getting custom tunes from eric...ect. Do you have to pay for the custom tunes, or do they come with the tuner when you buy it from the website...

I expect the price difference from Stealth is because the X3 comes with tunes whereas the price from IDP is without tunes and you have to buy the tunes separately. I'm sure Raul will chime in and clear that up.

When you want to purchase tunes you contact the tuner of choice and give him your truck strategy and the X3 serial# and whatever mods your truck has (The X3 will tell you what those are). Tell the tuner what you are looking for in the tune and send him some money. He will email the tune back to you. You download the tune from your computer to the X3 then take the X3 and hook it to the OBDII port and download it to the truck.

YES. I've had both and the Edge Insight is hands down the way to go. You can expand it to monitor EGTs, Any pressure you want, Temps you want, and even a back up camera (CTS model only). I know it is expensive but is still cheaper than gauges and takes up way less space than trying to find a place to put a gauge for everything that the Edge can monitor.
