custom tune loading

I just got my custom tunes, and loaded them to my sct. I attempted to load the street tune and it seemed to work in the begining. It gets to 50% on the uploading ecu screen, and then fails, and I cant load the tune. I have a sf3 and the canned tunes make it all the way through and re-tune the truck. What am I doing wrong with the custom tune? If anybody has any advice please let me know. Thanks.

Did you update the tuner with the latest firmware and tune revision? If not, return to stock and update device. Make sure you update the correct software.

Is there any "error"'messages that pop up on the screen?

device is up to date and so is the firmware, error 1017 is the message that pops up.

I used the sct update software an hour ago and made sure it was up to date. The firmware and the software match as far as the current versions. When I load the canned tunes it loads the stock file fine. I noticed when I tried to save the stock file to my computer from the device it saves it as an invalid vin. If I try to switch between canned tune and the custom tune it says invalid bianary code.
