Any body else having complications with VXCF9NZ strategy and running tunes?
I had my FICM. Replaced threw Ford warranty and they really flashed my ECM to the VXCF9NZ code and now my tunes are conflicting with the starting of my truck. I had Matt really write my tunes to match my new strategy to see if that would help but it hasn't. Now my truck is hard to start and acts as though it is not getting fuel at initial ignition. Injectors have been checked and my Airdog keeps a constant 66psi. Any ideas?

I have a FICM with the flash from a vxcf9 truck and my ecm in vxcf4. My truck starts much better with the newer ficm flash, than the older vxcf4 flash. I also run matts tunes. So is it long crank times or sputtering out?

I believe they both have the VXC9 on my truck cause Ford did them both at same time. When i go to start the truck it will crank real slow and seem to turn over but sounds as though the injectors are not getting enough fuel or spark sent from FICM to fully crank then it dies. It does start but not always on first try and not with a strong crank. If i ttake any tunes off and return to stock it takes a few cranks then after it sstarts strong every time.

Sounds like stiction or a bad injector or one going bad. Mine would start and die on occasion with my old ficm programming, but now it doesn't do it anymore.

And thats what I originally thought cause this all started after I had my FICM replaced cause I was seeing my voltage in the low 30. So after I got the new flash and new FICM I thought I had a bad injector or one going bad. Bit i don't have the sounds of one sticking any white smoke or any other symptoms that i have read. Not to say I ddont . What has be confused is that when I return to stock all the problems go away.
