Exhaust systems???
I got a 04 F350 ....6.0 dually....Im thinking of putting a new exhaust on it (warrartys out now) just wondering what kind exhaust some you like or disliked......just trying to get some input !

I see a lot of MBRP and Diamond Eye systems on these trucks. I was lookin' at a Diamond Eye system myself (4" turbo back aluminumized full system shipped to my door for less than $300), until I talked to couple folks about it. The guys at Higgins Ford Performance and another very reputable mechanic who specializes in the 6.0's agreed that with stock turbo and injectors you would lose some of your low end torque (to the tune of around 50-75lbft) with a larger system. They both stated that all you would get is sound. I asked about keeping the 3" downpipe and getting a 4" system from there back and was told that would be better, but still the only thing you're getting is sound. Performance wise, a muffler and cat delete on a stock system is the best thing I could do. Now if you're throwin' some bigger sticks and turbo on it a 4" system would be great. For now I think I'm gonna get a nice 4" tip for my truck and call it good.

You can honestly find SOOOOOOOO many threads on this subject, and SOOOO many opinions if you'll just do a little homework(read search function). I'm not being snide, im just trying to help you find what your looking for.
I like my mbrp 4"(5" tip).

our 04 f450 dumptruck is straightpiped with stock down pipe and stock piping with a dump before the rear axle and comparing them with out my sct to my 4 inch straight pipe there is NO difference if your really worried about just get a cat delete pipe and muffler delete or do a cat delete pipe with a cat back exhaust. you will prolly be into it more money with that second option but im telling ya, ya might as well just do turbo back |

until i get in some money for a full system. i took the muffler out and bought an adapter and clamps from napa i think it cost me around $25 i cut the measured out the tailpipe section to come out before the rear tire on my dually. its pretty redneck but when it gets a tip on it it wont look to bad for 25 bucks it does what the other systems do an its unique lol
