Newbie needs advice

Hello I am a newbie to Forum and 05 F-250 HD with 45000 miles on it. Bought truck about 6 weeks ago and getting around 16 mpg hand calculated. Use truck for pleasure (weekend riving) and pulling my 18' tandem axle trailer. I am wondering what Mods would help with MPGs and pulling power. I believe it still has the stock head bolts and don't want to do any damage to to them. Would a SCT tuner and turbo back exhaust cause problems down the road? Any advice would be appreciated.

If you add a tuner you had better have deep pockets these motors will take it for a while but it will happen down the road, i pull a 14k 5er you need gauges, coolant filter, fuel pressure gauge, do a coolant flush to get rid of the Ford Gold cxxp coolant and install ELC coolant. Solo i get around 16-18 pulling i get around 9mpg.
