Possible Swamps 58volt problem

Went to pick up the Ex yesterday and on the test drive the tech got ficm performance code and #4 cyl contribution code. Tech thinks it's the ficm, luckily I have one handy from quick tricks so we are trying it right now. I called Patrick at Swamps and he obviously stands behind his product and I am still under warranty. I will post later today with the results.

2005 Excursion Limited 6.0 4X4
PHP tuned Swamps 58v FICM
Edge Insight CS, with universal 0-100psi sensor for fuel pressure
SCT tunes by Quick Tricks and Gearhead
Sinister EGR Delete and Coolant filtration kit w/Cat EC-1
6.4 banjo bolts
Ford fuel pressure spring kit
High Idle Mod
ARP head studs
Magnaflow 4" turbo back w/muffler
Powermax turbo
Firestone Ride-Rite air bags
Retro Solutions 55w 4300k digital HID's
Clarion NX500 double din DVD/Nav

It is my understanding that you get the P0611 code when you have a hot ficm. Nothing to worry about. About the contribution code. Maybe you have a bad injector#4?

Also i didnt know Vivian had hot FICM's. Are they just swamps or does she build them?

Swapped ficm's and still the same, getting a new injector then compression test.

Vivian does her own 58v and 48v ficm's and ficm calibrations too.

I see you are from northern Sask, my Ex is in Lloyd right now.

Yup, hot FICM will give you the 6011. It is because it is out of voltage range. Ignore it. #4 cylinder is a separate issue. I would do a compression test before replacing the injector. It would be a bummer to spend the money on that and then find out the cylinder is down on compression.

Question, Do 58V ficm's throw codes all the time? I've been thinkin' about a 58v from Swamps. I havn't talked to anyone with the 58v version yet though. Have you had any other problems with the FICM and was it what caused the problem or was it something else.

no there aren't any problems that I have experienced and I never get a code for my 58v ficm

Update

The exhaust pushrod was kinked on assembly causing the contribution code. The excursion is ready for me!!!

No problems with my ficm to report except the 0611 code.
