Edge juice with attitude #10104. tranny problems

i have an 07 6.0 with 95 000 miles, about 5000 miles ago i put the edge juice with attitude in it, since the first few miles i drove with it on the tranny never shifts right. hesitates shifting, shifts harder, shift points are higher, it goes into limp mode, when slowing to a stoplight it sticks in 2nd gear once in a while. threw the code P2703 but no others. has its own mind when it comes to shifting it seems. and this is all barely accelerating. was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if anyone knows about any updates for this power chip.

i had some problems with my 06 shifting at any acceleration above 1/2 throttle. the techs told me to set it to defuel more between shifts. that worked but i ended up going with a sct with custom tunes and left th edge as a gauge to monitor stuff. the sct tunes the trans and shifts perfectly wide open. sweet power too..

how do you change that on this chip? as far as i can tell i cant change anything but power levels

My advice, sell the edge and get you an sct with custom tunes. Its what i did. I'm happier, and so is the truck.

edge = buying a new transmission, if you dont rip it off pretty quick with the limp mode and all

Par for the course. My truck had an Edge Juice Platinum on it when I bought it. Behaved very similar to the way yours is, not quite as bad though as mine wasn't sticking in the wrong gear at a stop.

More than likely the Edge uncoverd a minor underlying issue in the trans. My advice would be to pull the Edge and hopefully save your tranny while you can.

As others already mentioned, your truck and more specifically your tranny would be MUCH happier with custom SCT tunes. With all the crap my tranny did with the Edge on it, it has had absolutely 0 issues since going with the SCT and Erics X-street. That was over 25k miles ago and I have almost 100k on the truck now.

Go into the menu and there is a trans re-learn selection. it has on, partial and off. partial turns the trans learn off at ~110* or so, I forget.

If you are going to use it and keep it. do not go over level 1. The level selections does not change tuning. It only changes how much power it will allow you to send to the engine from the throttle. The edge is tuning the engine no matter what level setting you are on. The edge become dangerous to the trans when ever your foot pushes the truck past stock hp levels or poor trans learning process.

the trucks going in the shop tomorrow for (hopefully but not sure yet) injector problem. pulled the chip today. but the edge juice with attitude doesnt have the trans learn section im pretty sure, seems to me this chip should be for manual diesels only
