quick question

what oil would you run in minus 30 to 40 celsius. 0 w 40 or what

Do you not have the ability to plug it in at night? Also, where the heck do you live that it gets that cold!?

up in yellowknife its friggen cold here. i can plug it in sometimes just not ll the time

Man, I would say 5w-40 Rotella T Synthetic, but others might say different. I have to say I've never seen someone ask that from such cold climate.

Maybe someone else will chime in and give their .02

Do you have "winter fuel" mixture up there with lower cetane?

I live in Saskatchewan and it's no stranger to -30* C. I use amsoil 5w40, and sometimes don't get to plugin. It always starts without too much trouble. I run a cetane booster as well.

I run a 0-40W synthetic in the winter......have never had problems even on those -55c nights.

I use Esso XD3 0w-30, it has the best cold start specs on the planet.

You could use shell T-5 0w-30 also. The six leaker shears 40 weight oils down to 30wt anyways. The XD3 is a very thick 30wt

IRT is my favorite show!
