I have Max Energy set at highest setting and so far I never saw any alarming values on my gauges. Hypertech says you will not need gauges for your truck if you use the tuner properly. With more then stock you do take a chance though because all the testing they do is stock truck.
I am very satisfied with the power of mine and the clutch has been great also. I will not do air intake or exhaust on mine due to the results I am having now.
My past experience with straight pipe has been better cooling, more torque but no change in MPG. So the programer has been my best modification for least amount of work.

ScanGaugeII for 60 plus XGauges, and MPG. ELC Cat EC-1 Coolant, Pull a 39ft 15500Lbs 5th Wheel Camper Trailer. Mileage Avg is 20MPG, and pulling 12.6MPG.
