Do I have an ATS transmission?

well i was up under my truck the other day, and i noticed that my transmission is purple, and i know ats transmissions are purple. I know the previous owner had quite a few things done to the truck, but i was just curious if maybe a factory 5r110 was also purple, or i just lucked out. any info would be greatly appreciated

A factory trans. is not purple. You may indeed have an ATS but I don't know if I'd call you lucky or not.

ha yeah so I've heard, but it'll probably hold up better than a factory unit with my driving habits, I've had the truck since November, haven't had any tranny issues yet in 15k miles (knock on wood) but I've had every other 6.0 problem pretty much, but its finally back on track. Thanks for getting back to me

I've got a buddy that went through three FULL built ATS transmissions in 13k and then switched to SunCoast and hasn't had one issue. The factory 5R110 can take a beating. Hope you continue to have a trouble free trans.
