SCT Programmer Problem

Anyone had a problem with their programmer dying? I've only had mine about a month but it died with no warning after about 3 uses. It's a little concerning. I've sent it off for replacement and hope to get it back soon. Just curious if it's just my dumb luck. Also, I had not backed up my stock tune but SCT assures me they can retrieve it.

I have had nothing but problems with my sct tsx. the first time i tried to use it it froze up and wouldnt do anything now i have to wait 1 or 2 months before sct can fix it. then the day i had my egt probe put in the monitor died and wouldnt turn back on. that was friday and i just got it to turn back on today. as for the 1 to 2 month wait vivian from quick tricks who did my custom tunes sent me a x3 to use for a tuner untill sct fixes my tsx. i would recommend vivian to anyone she has in my opinion the best customer service of anyone ive ever dealt with.

I've got the Livewire and use it everytime I get in the truck. I monitor my engine with it and have had zero problems. I built a mount for it and it never leaves the truck unless I'm adding tunes.

What is your RA #? Also if we cannot get your stock file off the device, cause there is a issue with getting the files. All you need to do is tune your truck when you get the device back, contact our tech department and we can remote connect and get the files that we need off the device and make you a Recovery file for your truck.

I had problems with my livewire not communicating and wouldn't even load the main screen. I updated the firmware, and software from sct web sight and it fixed the problem, also added some new things like egr valve turn off....

With the new Tune Revision for the Livewire and SF3 device we added the EGR delete option.

12214 is the RA#. It should have arrived this morning to SCT. Hope you're right about the stock file. Kicking myself for not backing that up.

We got your device in Yesterday and should get looked at in the next couple of days. If we are not able to get your files off the device, once you get it back reload the tunes onto the device flash your truck and contact Tech Support. They will be able to make you a recovery file and get your stock file back onto the device. Then you will return the truck back to stock after that you are all set retune the truck and call it a day. If you have any questions just let me know. Thanks
