SCT Tuner reviews plz help

Ok guys i have a 2006 6.0 cc lwb 130k ...i am looking for better fuel economy not trying to hot rod my truck!! I have heard running an sct tuner on economy setting does a great job on fuel economy but have also been told not to add a tuner to a 6.0 or i would have problems with injectors and head gaskets or egr. Tell me your stories and fuel mpg improvement and if you havd any repair issues after installing it! I just put 4 inch straight pipe exhaust and thinking bout spending the money for tuner. I will prob not get the one on the fly cause really wouldnt benifit me cause all im looking for is improved fuel mileage...right now im getting bout 14-16 mpg....plz help with tuner ?s

I had my issues repaired before the SCT and have had no issues since getting the SCT. My best mileage actually comes from my race file. I have hand calculated 20.6 and 20.9 a few times on longer road trips but usually it stays at 20 to 20.2.

I have a SCT X3 with tunes from innovative and Ive recently been running the hybrid race from spartan and love it! No issues ive been running the tunes for about 10k now. As stated above you will get the best fuel mileage from the higher hp tunes.

As stated before, running the higher HP tunes or races files, is where you will get your better mpg, but the key is to control your right foot on the skinny pedal. You are smart NOT to get a "shift on the fly" tuner as they do not tune your transmission as the SCT does. There is a reason that the majority of us run the SCT with custom tuning. IMHO it is the best for the 6.0L, hands down, but, what do I know. I am just an old lady that drives a slow, old truck. LOL
