Hog Exhaust Question
I have an '04 Excursion 6.0 and am going to change the exhaust. I am looking at the Hog system - it is T304 stainless, lifetime warranty and I can get it shipped to my house for $599.
They say you need a porta-power to crimp the seam on the transmission tunnel/firewall for the 4" downpipe to fit, but that is not a problem since I have access to one. Has anyone used the Hog system? If so, what do you think of it? I am concerned about using a 4" downpipe instead of 3.5" I do not want to reduce my lower RPM/unloaded cruise fuel economy. I know it is apples and oranges, but I remember the differences in power/rpm range with header tube sizes from gas engines and do not want to hurt the low end. Any advice is appreciated. |
