Need more power!

I don't know if "need" is the right word, but I definitely "want" more. I have studs and the Livewire, but I have the stock exhaust with muffler/cat delete. Essentially a 3.5" straight pipe. Will moving up to a 4" straight make any power difference? I know it will make it louder, but I don't really care one way or the other about sound. And how much will it really affect my EGT's? The truck runs great now, but as you all know, the HP addiction can never really be satisfied. Thanks for your input.

Right now I'm runnin' the Looney from Quick Tricks Auto. I also have the street, tow, and economy from Innovative Diesel. I'm thinkin' about trying their Extreme Street or Extreme Race. I'm really more curious what the 4" exhaust will do for me.

Ive never ran the looney before not sure how that one stacks up against the others. I am currently running the Hybrid Race from spartan and my truck loves it! Not to mention she hauls ***! Might want to try that one or the Ultra Comptetition through them. They are free Ill try to find the link for them on here.

The 4 inch exhaust might open it up a little more for you and maybe lower your egt's a little too. I have the 4" MBRP tb with the muffler and cat delete.

Thanks for the link. The Looney is wicked. The truck is amazing on that tune. I've had it modified a little too. I got it written so the torque convertor locks up quicker and now I can really put the power down. What your truck sound like with the 4" MBRP? Is it loud in cab? I believe the exhaust will be my next upgrade, then the EGR delete.

The 4" turbo back sounds great, you cant reallly hear it unless you get on it. No real cab noise at all unless you get into it. Ive never heard anything like a 6.0 with a good exhaust on it. Get it you will love it.

Thats what I wanted to hear. This truck does still haul the wife and kids from time to time, so it can't be horribly loud. Did you gain anything else (mileage or power) with the
4" or just good sound a slightly lower egt's?
