Hi, I have an 04 F550. It has a 03 6.0 in it. It has an sct x3 with innovative street tunes on it.
I recently got everything on the truck functioning properly and it has a ton of power until I step on it a one or two times real good then it feels like it is stock again til it cools for a little bit. It has stock size straight pipe from turbo back, sct x3, new oil cooler, sinister egr delete, new hpop, updated turbo drain, 58v FICM, new IPR & ICP, turbo disassembled & bead blasted on exhaust side (ring was siezed & vanes not moving). Never noticed a problem until I got the turbo functioning properly. I do not have gauges yet as I cannot afford them yet. My guess is possibly egts way too hot from stock size exhaust and not letting turbo work properly once I get it hot but I dont know. any ideas? Any input is greatly appreciated |

Sounds like what mine does. When I run it real hard, and up over 100mph it sends the truck into a limp mode. I haven't figured it out yet, but if I pull over and turn the truck off/on, it takes it out of limp mode and all is good.
It has always did this since day one of running a SCT, even talked to ID and Vivian about it, they weren't to sure what was causing it, but they both agreed it wasn't in the tunes. When my AE gets here, I should be able to data log, and figure out what's going on. |

Yeah thats basically what I would call it too. Limp mode. Yes mine does it on those times I feel like putting it to the floor and hit higher speeds too but mine will do it if I just am hard on it a few times like zero to sixty too

Can you monitor your ECT and EOT? Just because you have a new cooler doesn't mean the oil isn't getting hot.
