Difference between pre-loaded and custon tunes?

I recently installed the SCT livewire on my 05 PSD and the truck runs like a raped ape. I was wondering what is the major differnece in the pre loaded tunes and custom tunes? Thank you

Custom tunes will make your truck even better , they will take into consideration your ,trans,gears,tire sizes ,etc... and build tunes around what you actually have...
the canned tunes are per say ...one size fits all idealoligy...
if it runs like a raped ape now ? ....think of how he would run if he was on fire too ! LOL

So far my canned tunes > my custom tunes. I need to try some tunes from other companies though to see if its the tune im running or if thats just the way it is on my truck

Custom tunes are way better than canned. If you plan on getting custom tunes, let the custom tuner know what has been done to your truck (studded, non-studded, exhaust,ect,ect.). If your new to the 6.0, there are some things you may want to do and get before you start having issues with your truck.

There are certain things you want to address with the '05 year truck, along with getting gauges prior to getting custom tunes.

Oops sorry, you have the Livewire. As long as you have the EGT probe along with that your set with gauges except you should really consider a fuel psi gauge.
