6.0 Performance Tech ???
Ok guys so my truck is sitting at the ford shop and they are being annoying. They want 150hr to diagnosis my truck ( they think it is going to take 8hrs) they have a feeling its headgasket failure...I think some other things but whatever. Im thinking of setting the truck aside and re-building this motor to be bullet proof.
Im thinking, studs, headgasket, egr delete, oil cooler, trans cooler, trans work, coolant filter, bigger turbo (maybe dual set up? let me know what you think idk if anyone even makes a kit), intercooler, injectors, modded ficm, fuel system, downpipe. Does anyone have similar mods? If so did you have any internal engine work done? (my engine only has 55,000 miles on her). Anyone have any build sheets to a engine like this? |

The biggest issue I have it is picking the turbo

You'll want a Powermax Turbo. They are about $1200 to your door. As for headgasket, I think it should take an hour. If pressure in the degas bottle gets over 13psi then its a headgasket. Make sure they are hard on it when testing with a few WOT. This is just my thought. I'm by far no expert but this just happened to my truck and that is what they told me was the only thing they look for if the headgasket is blown. Everything you are wanting to upgrade will cost you $10,000 if you go with the dual turbo.

That powermax looks like it is the same size as the stock one...what are the advantges the powermax has over the stock garret?

|
Powermax will handle 190cc injectors

What hp-torque range are we looking at? Im sorry im short on knowledge when it comes to injectors and turbos... My main worry is what size injector/turbo can this motor handle without replacing internal parts.

Powermax will support 500rwhp.
Stock internals with studs and an EGR delete will support 600+ with good tuning |

Also, If anyone knows a sticky or a write up on how to build your own egr delete, I know a talented aluminum welder that can weld the intake for me. I just need to know what to weld and what other parts/hoses/holes are needed.

The search button will be your friend. I haven't looked but I know there are a few write ups out there and maybe even in the tech files.
