The Transformation Begins

I finally bit the bullet and decided to begin the transformation. Just ordered the MBRP 4 in. turbo back kit. Planning on doing the Zoodad at the same time. Sinister EGR delete to come. Any other suggestions?

When you have the top end tore down to the EGR, check your oil cooler and replace if you need to. Also I would recommend a thorough coolant flush, removing all that Ford Gold out of there, and refilling with a quality Cat EC-1 ELC. If you have the funds to manage it, install a coolant filter (dieselsite). With those things out of the way you should be set for an enjoyable, reliable truck. Good luck with the build and keep us posted.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions about the MBRP 4" with turbo and muffler delete? Has anyone had any problems with this install?

The install should be pretty straight forward. when removing the stock DP you have to cut it in half to get it out. I guess its just in our(men) nature but i didn't read the directions before starting and i layed under the truck for 30 mins scratching my head trying to figure out how to get it out and then i read the directions hacked it in half and pulled it out.... what year is your truck?

If your truck doesn't have the upgraded STC fitting i would suggest replacing that While your doing the EGR delete. It will save you from alot of headaches and troubles when your stock one goes out. They make an Upgraded piece thats a solid connector instead of the "snap to connect design" It's not a performance mod but more of a prevenative maintanence thing and well worth the work if you ask me...
