SRL Help

I have the SRL Tune for my 2007 F-250 Crew Cab lariat 4x4, only mods is a 4" MBRP w/o Cat and the Zoodad mod. I am running the stock 275/65/20 wheels and tires. Current strategy is VXCF4X3.

I am only getting 13mpgs with the SRL tune and 15 on the highway, which is a little less than stock. Are there any other adjustments that need to be made when flashing my truck? I am happy with the tune and plan on leaving the SRL in, just would like to see a little increase in mpgs....

IIRC, that's the FICM killer flash, which is also know for bad MPG's.

here is a thread about strategies.

VXCF4 vs VXCF9

IMO VXCF4 is one of the best to have. people roll back there pcm's to this. the one reason to change is if you are having cold start issues.

Yep, you are right. I was getting it confused with the VXCF7 strategy.

Not sure what the two digits at the end mean, but they flash it to the vxcf4. I have h2 at the end of mine, I got 12 towing my loaded toy hauler. Give them a call or check out the forum. That was stock before the srl. The SCT is still to new to get a good mpg comparison.

I used PHP to flash my FICM and my PCM. Using Matt's SRL tune I get 19MPG's on the highway with 35" tires. You may have some other issues. If you have injector problems you don't see now and you have your FICM reprogrammed they will show up and you will have to resolve those issues. I'm no diesel mechanic but, I did stay at a Holiday Inn once. I also live in Florida, pretty flat highways around here.

im getting average hand calculated, filled to the brim and running centane booster with the newest flash and get 13 to 14 city, and highway included. hoping to get the ficm reflash when the money is there and enough time to have the truck down and what not
