innovative street tune

Loaded up the street tune on my truck tuesday night and was shocked at the performane for not being a extreme tune. Have noticed when i start my truck in the morning and after work that it smokes like a frieght train at a idle until it is warmed up. Is this normal or do i have something else starting to fail on my truck. Going to call Ted @ innovative tommorow during business hours. Figured I would pick your brains first. Thanks

It could just be unburnt fuel in the cylinders. Also what is the outside temperatures?

i think its part of the stiction problem, until your oil gets heated up.. i live in ohio w/similar temps, used to be, if i leave my truck unplugged it will do the same thing.. try just plugging it in, and then try some rev-x and valvoline xtreme blue, it should fix it..

A hotter tune will cause more smoke on cold start ups, especially when the temps are low. My x-race file does it and that is part of the reason I tune it back to stock in the winter.

I have started my truck that cold and I had no smoke at all.

You should not have any smoke at start up. Maybe very little for less than 2 seconds at the max..... Tuning is not the issue.

What oil are you using?

I had the same problem with my street tune when I first got it. Turned out that there was something wrong with the tune and eric re-wrote it for me. My truck was running way to hot for just a street tune. It was hotter than the xtreme race. Almost undrivable. He said something about my ICP was going out of range so he sent me a new tune and it fixed it. Now it is my daily driver tune. Something is not right. Don't run your truck on that tune untill you get it fixed.
