SCT and boost gauge question...

My wife got me an SCT for Christmas - I'm a lucky man!!! - and it's REALLY waked up the truck. Just the canned tunes for now and will get more aggressive as I head into head-studs, egr delete, etc...

I've used the data logging feature on it and noticed that the boost reading on the SCT is exactly the same as what the factory panel boost gauge is reading. So, the question would be, what's the benefit of adding another boost gauge to the a-pillar?

There isn't one. The factory boost gauges are pretty accurate. For those of us who do not have the factory boost gauge, we buy one.

your SCT and Factory gauge should read the exact same because they are both reading the same sensor.

Yeah no need to add a boost gauge if you have the one in the cluster already.

Pre 05 trucks didnt have a factory boost gauge
