I'm looking at either a sinister coolant filter or dieselsite coolant filter. which one is better? they are both about the same price the only thing is, the sinister one looks better. other than that, is there anything different between the two? thanks!

Just my own personal preference, I would go with the Dieselsite one.
Looks like the hoses on the sinister unit are made with the "T" as an integral part of the hose. If the hose fails you will have to make up your own connections. While the hose that returns to the degas bottle would be an easy connection to duplicate, the connection to the heater core hose would not be all that easy. |

My choice was Dieselsite. It was a very easy install. And the filter has done what has been expected of if....Good Luck....Steve

GoGo Diesel makes a coolant filter as well. Has anyone tried theirs?

just so you guys no in the future, if you go on dfuser.com and click on their coolant filter kit, and there is a list of the part numbers for the proper filters of all the major brands that make them such at cat, john deere, international, etc. There is a different of a noncharged and a charged filter and you have to make sure you get the noncharged one.
Personally, I purchased my kit from dfuser because it was the same as dieselsites except the shut off valves were included and they are completely metal unlike the plastic handles on the dieselsite one. Also, it includes 3 filters, but it does not have the billet or polished or whatever, main hub. Just my 2 cents, thanks. |
