Return to stock before replacing FICM??

I got my 58V FICM from Swamps yesterday. The question is, do I need to go back to stock before I put it in? I have 1 unlock left and would like not to use it, but I will if needed. Thanks.

i returned mine to stock just to be safe but why are you losing unlocks. i have returned mine to stock i think 4 or 5 times for the dealer and i still have 5 unlocks left.

I have the SF3. How do you know how many unlocks you have left?

It should tell you in the liveload software.

No need to return to stock to install an FICM

Also you should not be losing unlocks when you return to stock

don't you use unlocks when you return to stock and then use it on a differant truck?

ya as long as its the same truck everytime you wont lose any unlocks on your sct. to find out how many unlocks its under "device info" on mine.

I purchased the livewire used, with the IDP tunes already on it. Lucky that they worked on my truck, but I do loose unlocks when I return to stock. I need to send it to SCT and have them clear it and refresh the unlocks.
