I just want to do a powermax now to prepare for injectors in the future. Not looking to make a race truck, but want to get in the ballpark of 500hp. what do you think a cclb would run on the 1/4 with 500hp? also, what's the regulated return for?

should be somewhere around high 12s or low 13s. regulated return gives better fuel flow. check them out.

Forget the AFE elbow and air filter. Your stock air box flows enough for your 500 hp and filters better than anything else on the market.
I have an Airaid and by 6k miles I have to change oil because of the lower filtering of the Araid. It flows more air but at the cost of filtering. Forget the regulated return and just do a crossover. With the Powermax and injectors you are goin to need an Airdog or FASS system. The Airdog II already has a pressure regulator built in to it. Diesel site or FCDP have nice coolant filters. |

i like regulated returns. i would recommend them to anyone. both the fass and the airdog have regulators built in.

Ok, so I'll stick with stock and do zoodad mod. But, what filter should I get for my stocker? And, when should I worry about changing headstuds and HG's from a horsepower standpoint?
Hoping to save up and do injectors, studs, and HG's at the same time. Last edited by 06kingranch6.0; 12-23-2010 at 03:28 PM. |

replace with a stock element, no brainer...
if the gaskets are fine dont replace them right away, and do them with studs when the time comes, dont fix what isnt broken.. yet.. I would however add a rebuilt oil cooler to the list. |
