If the EGR Valve is stuck open , will this cause power decrease while towing ?

Yes, depending on how far it is stuck open.

don't know , i'm gonna try and get the sob out after work today ! couldn't get it out earlier ,but i found some tricks to try off these forums ....thanks

is there a way to keep it closed ? wire it shut ? untill I can do my delete ?
will it hurt anything to make it stay shut ?

I have heard of people tach welding it shut but I wouldn't recommend it. You will probably get a CEL with the EGR deleted or tack welded shut unless you have a SCT
