Used sct sf3

I bought a sct sf3 off of eBay. It has custom tunes from Innovative Diesel. The guy had it on a 03 f250. My truck is a 2004 but the engine has a 2003 plate on the engine. I hope I didn't mess up by buying this. Will this tuner work on my truck? It said it was unlocked. Thanks for the help.

You can use it as long as it is unlocked. You will have to get your strategy from the sct and then call eric at innovative for tunes to match your strategy.

Should work.... Try the tunes see how they feel. If you can get the strategy info from the previous owner. See how it matches up. Matching the strategies will make the tunes work better. They should still function though. Unless you have the files on disc or in a email or something you will not be able to save the files currently on the tuner if you add tunes.

This is assuming that the files are older and not locked to a vin number.

They haven't updated the flashes for the 03/04 trucks in a year or two at least. So it is likely he had the same strategy you will have.
