which turbo do i have ?

I've been reading alot of stuff on here just tryin to learn stuff and read about the 03 6.0 being the most powerfull of the 6.0 . My truck is an early 04 and was wondering if there is any way to tell if i have the same turbo as an 03. thanx for any input in advance .

Look on your passenger side valve cover, if you have the ICP sensor there then its a late build 04 not an early build. If nothing is sticking out of the valve cover by the glow plug relay you have and early build

Not sure where you got the info about the 03's being the strongest 6.0.....the 03-07's are pretty much the same.

a sticker on the pass. side valve cover is either blue or red. that's another way to tell. plus you can count the fins on the turbo 10 you have an 03 turbo. or 12 you have the older one iirc

Some folks do believe that the 03's had a little more edge then the newer ones. My 03 ran pretty strong and having my old flash got good power and mileage compare to now after they flashed it again. Just my experience. I'll be posting this discussion in the Nation in the near future.
