SCT X3 Driver

I have a SCT X3, i downloaded the Updater off of SCTFlash.com but when i try to load a tune it says "Failed to read Device" and then says unauthorized device or something like that. I tried to reinstall the updater but it didn't help any. any suggestions?

Bryan, what you need to do is go to device manager on your PC and install the drivers for this device. here is a link to show you how to load the drivers and install the device updater. http://www.sctflash.com/software/SCTDeviceUpdater.exe

Well Matt, it says the driver is up to date but it still says failed to read data and not a valid sct device when i try to load a tune. and when i try to check for updates it says can't unlock device. any other suggestions???

I had the same problem...my desktop kept doing that so i used a newer laptop and it worked fine. Is the programmer powering up? It would not power up on my desktop for some reason...

the sct powers up and the laptop is less than 1 year old

thanks matt, ill be in indy for a couple days but ill get a hold of you th first part of next week.
