Exclamation EGT difference between cat and muffler delete and 4inch turbo back exhaust???

Has anyone noticed any difference in egt's after a muff and cat delete? And if you did the delete then did a 4 inch exhaust, what was the difference in egts between the two? Thanks!

I haven't, but probably not much. I think it comes with a 4" DP to begin with. Then 3.5" the rest of the way.

trucks under 450 hp, not much for egt difference. There is a sound difference. The biggest is price difference.

A 4" turbo back, the DP tubing will get surrounding components hotter than the stock system.

I chose to get the delete pipes because I can easily put my cat back, price, and for the large drop in EGT's.

Did this exact swap in march.

You will not notice any difference in EGTs going from stock with a muffler and cat delete to a 4 inch exhaust on an 05 up truck. They come with a 3.5 inch downpipe stock. Same as most aftermarket exhausts

You will notice a sound difference thats it.

Now in 03-04 trucks you will notice a minor difference. The factory downpipe is bent better on the newer trucks
